Land Plot Reorganization

Land management projects are required in cases such as:
- Formation of new state land plots.
- Reorganization of existing land plots.
- Division of two or more land plots.
Partitioning of shared land plots to create separate plots.
Merging adjacent land plots with the same primary land use purpose into one plot.
- Adjusting boundaries of adjacent land plots with the same primary purpose by redistributing parts of the plot without forming a new separate plot and attaching them to a neighboring plot.
- Determining or changing the primary land use purpose and/or methods of land plot use.
- Adding an interspersed state land area to an adjacent land plot when forming a rationally sized and bounded plot is not possible in the free state land.
- Proposing to establish or revoke a land servitude*.
What Is a Servitude?
A servitude is a property right defined under Article 4.111(1) of the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania (CK). It grants the right to use another's immovable property (servient property) or restricts the owner's right to use their property to ensure the proper use of the dominant property.
Under Article 4.124(1) of the CK, servitudes can be established by:
- Law.
- Agreements.
- Court decisions.
- Administrative acts, if provided by law.
According to Article 23(1) of the Land Law of the Republic of Lithuania, these methods also apply to land servitudes.
